By Ma. Teresa Lapid Rodriguez
This book is a journey into the challenges and achievements of three Filipino-American watercolorists who set precedents in the development of watercolor in the Filipino-American art communities of New York and New Jersey. It is also about human struggle, persistence better understood by first generation immigrants in this country, and heart-warming public recognition in the quest for the American dream through life-changing passion for art. A scholarly examination of the art and the lives of these unsung heroes and overlooked artists, the book, likewise, incorporates lucid and critical overviews of the histories of watercolor and of Philippine art. Garnished with over 45 full color illustrations, the book ultimately documents Filipino-American contribution to watercolor painting, a first of its kind from this culturally diverse community.

By John Mazur Ph.D.
This book is a "Read-to-Me" book. It is designed to introduce pre-school children to the world of numbers. Objects are introduced in colorful settings on one page, and the number symbol representing the number of objects is introduced on the opposing page. Children relate the number symbol to the number of objects that they identify by pointing to the objects on one page and to the symbol on the next page. They "discover" the relationship. They learn that number symbols have quantitative meaning.

By Nancy C. Schumacher
The Flight of the Swallow, tales of misunderstood neurological disorders was begun in 1988, when I found that people enjoyed both my art and writing. People seemed to gain understanding from both. These papers were given at International Medical Conferences that dealt with disorders of the brain from Europe to China from 1988-2004. Some conferences included mobility as well as neurological disorders. It was my desire to present material from a consumers view on these topics. By interviewing many people and using stories from my own life I was able to provide a variety of consumer thoughts on these disorders. As a person who has had epilepsy since age two, and a broken hip since age twenty-one, I have lived through a lot than enables me to identify with some of these disorders. The only way that society is going to understand the hidden disorders, such as epilepsy or bipolar disorder is if people with these disorders speak out. Otherwise, they will retain their stigma. Many people do not know that Friedreichs Ataxia, a degenerative neurological disorder that is hereditary, is very similar to Multiple Sclerosis. Much is done for MS, but little for FA or Epilepsy. In order for change to occur, acceptance and understanding must take place; and that can only occur through education. The fact that the International League Against Epilepsy decided in 2011 in Rome, to offer a new listing of seizures is positive. They also have suggested that a hand over hand campaign be launched to bring sports into the awareness of epilepsy. As my great-uncle Tris Speaker, who played for Boston, and Washington, before going onto Cleveland, and later managing that team was one of the people who went into the Baseball hall of fame with Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb and some other great ballplayers, I am completely in favor of that.

By Cecile
BANNED IN SACRAMENTO Cecile´s watercolours were rapidly executed, resulting in directness and spontaneity. At the height of her creativity, she produced 2 1/2 paintings per month. The NERD BIBLE paintings feel the pulse of the city. The city reacted impulsively by defaming, blocking, and banning not only the paintings, but also the artist. The master watercolourist has written articles on health and the environment for WOMAN´S DAY and Medical SELF CARE. The NERD BIBLE is considered by many to be a spiritual, humorous, chemical-free alternative to Viagra-equivalent pharmeceuticals. CAUTION: THIS PRODUCT MAY HAVE DEVASTATING PSYCHOLOGICAL OR PHYSICAL SIDE EFFECTS. Any resemblance to the smoking Tobacco Industry or McDonald´s overheated coffee is pure adulterated fiction. Product works best with imagination and/or fortitude.
