Nurse Allie had a devious plan, she succcessfully propositioned a girl for her unborn baby--but when she went to the hospital after the birth of the baby, she discovered he was dead. In her desperation she saw two cribs in the corner and exchanged the dead child with one of the babies from the cribs-she did not know the babies were twins, or that she had been seen. When she find out she had been seen doing the exchange, she commits murder to keep her secret, and becomes obsessed with the boy she had stolen. He grows up being possessed by the person he calls "mother". After tragedy his prominent family comes into the storyline and makes for reading you will thoroughly enjoy.
