We instinctively know that exercise, eating the right things, and taking vitamins sustains our health, maintains our youth, and offers a sense of wellbeing. Traditional fitness publications do a great job telling you what to do, but lack any explanation as to the why and how. They offer a map to youth by micromanaging your diet, exercise and or supplements. You blindly follow their lead in expectation of finding your fountain of youth through their training. Every body is different, which is why one map may work for one person, but not another; maybe it failed you, so you try another. What you may not realize is that although they offer step by step instruction to find the fountain, they are not teaching you how to read the map. Although the map is the same, the directions are different for each of us to find the fountain of youth. The difference between the layperson and expert is their ability to read the map as a whole; that map is our anatomy. That cartography lesson is learned by teaching you how exercise, diet and supplements work rather than being told what in the same to follow. At the end of the lesson, you may now understand that your journey may require parts of many methods, rather than the single direction of one. The author shares his own journey as he teaches you how to read the map, so you understand how one has successfully read the map to discover his fountain of youth.

About The Author George James currently resides in the DC Metro Area with his wife Carol, dog, and fish. He has been involved in the fitness industry for 12 years as a personal trainer and group exercise coordinator. Published works include health articles for Infuse, a young adult Christian magazine, Milo, and two books entitled Can God Smile and A Father and Son Book of Poetry and Prose. Besides emphasizing a strong abdominal wall, he has also participated in weightlifting, powerlifting, and all around lifting competitions since 1996. George was a graduate of Slippery Rock University with an exercise science degree, and has various certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Kettlebell Athletics, and the United States Olympic Training Center. He also serves as a third class petty officer corpsman reservist and currently does drill at Andrews Air force Base in Maryland. In his spare time he enjoys dancing with his wife, walking his dog, exercising, reading, fishing, shooting his 9mm beretta, and being a positive influence in the universe.

He is retired from his long time career as a Senior Mechanical/Piping Designer that had taken him to many cities across the world. Staying true to his love of exercise, John would always fi nd local fi tness clubs to join while he was away. Even after four knee and one spinal operation, John continues to actively participate in several classes like boot camp, strength training, Zumba, Pilates, and yoga. While recovering from his spinal operation, John read dozens of national and international health and fi tness literature and noticed that fi tness for men and women was always separated. This gave him the idea of putting both men and women�s exercises together and inspired him to write his own exercise book. John is a registered fi tness instructor specialist and has taken older adult fi tness courses.
