By Dr. Sam Siddighi and Dr. Neil Baum with Michelle Fitzpatrick
"This timely, informative and easy to understand book answers just about every question a woman might have about managing the difficult problems unique to the female gender. Each chapter is sprinkled with practical words of wisdom and advice that ranges from self help to how to find the right doctor and how to find the most appropriate treatment." Jerry G. Blaivas, MD Clinical Professor of Urology Weill-Cornell Medical Center “For the woman wanting to have a better understanding of her pelvic anatomy, including why she may have bladder, urethra and/or sexual health issues, this book is an easy to read reference. Drs. Baum and Siddighi have gathered information about a multitude of pelvic associated health issues and made them accessible to the reader in a single source.” Irwin Goldstein, MD Director, San Diego Sexual Medicine Director, Sexual Medicine, Alvarado Hospital, San Diego, CA Clinical Professor of Surgery, University of California at San Diego Editor-in-Chief, The Journal of Sexual Medicine Drs. Siddighi and Baum have elegantly described pelvic organ prolapse and have provided the most current treatment options. Their book is well written and highly recommended.” Mickey M Karram, Director of Urogynecology The Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio A timely and required book for every patient having something wrong down there. A guide to improve patients’ care and quality of life. Shlomo Raz M.D. Professor of Urology Chief Division of Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Director Fellowship Program Department of Urology UCLA School of Medicine What an awesome tool for all of us women. I really wish I would have had this book right after my first child was born in 1998. I too am one of those women who lived in silence about what I realized was a real medical issue "stress incontinence". At first I didn't talk to my husband or my sister, who has had kids and is a nurse. However one year was long enough for me before I went to the doctor and started asking questions. I think for most women as I have found that one year is fast and it is usually 5-10. I can only hope with this book you can get some much needed answers to many women's health issues. Now as I near perimenopause I am finding this book to be of use to me in my present life. It really is for women of varying ages as we all go through things at different times and different stages of our lives. I love how they give you information on different medicines, list of questions to ask a doctor, and the drawings help with understanding it all, not to mention everything is in layman’s terms. Thanks for putting something together that was so well needed to answer all our questions about "down there". Bonnie Blair 4 Time Olympian, 5 Golds, 1 Bronze mother of two former "down there” patient A well written book for women of all ages looking for knowledge on their pelvic health by experts in the field. John B. Gebhart, MD, MS Associate Professor of Gynecology Director of FPMRS Fellowship Program Mayo Clinic It is rare that a medical topic can be put into laywomen's terms but Drs. Baum and Siddighi have done just that. They have described the most common conditions that affect millions of American women and provided advice for all those women so that they can make healthy decisions regarding problems in the pelvis. Dr. Raju Thomas Chairman Department of Urology Tulane Medical School New Orleans, LA Drs. Siddighi and Baum have nicely described cosmetic and plastic surgery "down there". The authors (with our help) have elegantly and tactfully described vaginal rejuvination and will help women understand this new form of cosmetic surgery. Dr. Robert Moore and Dr. John Miklos Directors of International Urogynecology Associates Atlanta and Beverly Hills, California
