In 1996, while still employed as a Corporate Environmental Scientist, I began treating flood victims homes with Ozone, in an effort to oxidize the mold. The equipment was designed to produce about one pound of ozone per day, and I was able to treat 5 homes simultaneously via teflon tubing extending from the Ozone generator, to the cool air return of each home. After treating 250 homes, I realized my health had greatly diminished. I was allergic to mold, preservatives, chemicals, dust mites, fruit, vegetables, pasta, cheese, alcohol, even my own tears. Divine Intervention led me to discover Shaklee Wellness Products, without which, I would not be alive today. Whatever your symptoms, this book will give you the knowledge and tools to regain your health and safely, remediate your mold-impacted home or office. You will no longer be a victim of mold.

"Field Trip Safety for Sara is a touching story written from an allergic child’s perspective. Despite her worries about staying safe and feeling different on her class field trip to the country, city girl Sara realizes that being different can be special, just like the countryside can be different yet special when you’re used to living in the city. She also realizes that she’s not the only one who is different when she meets another food-allergic girl who happens to live in the country and who has her own unique set of concerns. Colorful illustrations bring the story to life."Denise Lewis - Food Allergy Connection

A Word From The Author
Caring for a child with food allergies is an enormous responsibility. One of the most difficult battles for a parent of a food allergic child is to convey to others just how serious this issue is. After all, it can be difficult to understand this issue unless you are dealing with it on a daily basis. However, there is hope and education is the key to understanding. Although this book was designed with children in mind, it will be equally valuable to parents, teachers, and caregivers. After the story you will find valuable resource pages designed specifically to spark conversation on this topic. All teacher pages can be reproduced for classroom use or training.

Book Reviews "As a former elementary teacher and the mother of two sons with life-threatening food allergies; one who also has asthma and the other also has Eosinophilic Esophagitis, I found this book to be a great resource for other parents. All children will benefit from reading, seeing and hearing about other children with a variety of issues. It is great and special to be different! " Denise Bunning - Food Allergy Project

Paisley Can’t Eat PeanutsThe number of children with nut allergies is increasing at an alarming rate. This book is written to help children with allergies understand that they are special, and gives them a creative way to cope with the allergy in day to day life (school). Paisley is a typical little girl who does things just like every other little girl. One day Paisley gets an itchy reaction on her cheek when her daddy gives her a kiss after eating peanuts. Her mom takes her to visit the doctor, and learns that she has an allergy to nuts. Pretty soon Paisley has to start school and she is worried that the other children won’t understand her allergy. Her mom helps her decorate a special t-shirt that reads, “Paisley can’t eat peanuts.” Paisley has fun making the shirt with her mom, and wearing it to the first day of school. When the other children notice Paisley’s t-shirt, it gives her a chance to tell the teacher and the other children about her allergy. To know that everyone is aware of her special allergy makes Paisley happy.

By Athsma & Allergy Foundation of America, Alaska Chapter
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, Alaska Chapter, aims to educate Health Care Providers about current asthma management guidelines while developing a core group of instructors statewide in order to increase the number of asthma education classes offered throughout the State of Alaska. AAFA Alaska Chapter also educates Alaskans about asthma and improves asthma awareness.

This storybook about asthma and allergies was developed with the assistance of community members attending the Asthma and Allergy Support Group supported by AAFA Alaska Chapter. AAFA Alaska Chapter’s goal was to develop a storybook with Alaska sensitive graphics and story line to be provided to those attending our asthma education classes and health fairs.

Alaskan Artist Noel C. Bell completed all artwork for the storybook from design to finished product. After years of drawing on her own, Noel completed both an Associates Degree in Design and a Bachelors of Illustration from Syracuse University. Noel released her first print in 1997, and since that time she has published a body of fine art prints, sold in galleries throughout the state, and enjoyed working as an illustrator for a variety of businesses. Noel can be contacted at www.wildbirdstudios.com
