By Pansy Elizabeth Clayton
Pansy Clayton, though she was born and raised in South Carolina, has a unique way of getting the point across about this disease, Diabetes Type 2, in that she comes from a long line of North Carolina Mountain women who inherited Diabetes from their mothers. These ancestors were born and raised near Turkey Foot, North Carolina. These were hard working, hard living women who fed their families good home cooked meals like yeast rolls, potatoes and gravy. They were also poor and had to "make do" with what they could scronge up for meals to feed hungry men and children who worked in the fields all day therefore their eating habits were not the best. Pansy was raised in Bamberg County of South Carolina living next door to her S.C. grandparents who cooked and ate the same way but added grits and red eye gravy and lots of Southern dishes to their menu. These people from the old South did not understand what Diabetes was all about and never knew how to control it. It controlled their lives. The point of this book for Pansy Clayton is to get the message out there that Diabetes is controllabe if you are willing to use this method: Eat lots and lots of fresh vegetables and a little bit of healthy, lean meat without any sauces. The other thing is to eat fresh fruit but eat it alone. Do not eat anything with the fruit. It is enough by itself. Pansy describes in detail exactly what she eats and how the process works with your body to control this raging disease.

ANTIOXIDANTS: MIGHTY CANCER WEAPONS describes how large quantities of antioxidants (AOs) can benefit cancer patients of both orthodox and alternative oncology. It explains how and why a super abundance of AOs are able to create an inhospitable terrain for the cancer cells, with a potential for their demise. It speaks of cancer prevention, how AOs positively affect blood flow, how they alkalize the body, hydrate cells, attract oxygen into the cells, enhance the conductivity of bodily fluids, strengthen the immune system, etc. It also explains some aspects of the cancer process, which readers should find interesting, while suggesting the use of certain powerful AOs. When his wife was diagnosed with cancer years ago, he found himself on a quest to find the best treatments for her. Even after she passed away, he continued studying. His research and strong interest in health and healing approaches gave him greater insights into the world of alternative health and healing. Lupich recognized the usefulness of powerful antioxidants to cancer patients. His discovery was reinforced by an incident that happened about year ago. A member of his family who had metastatic breast cancer for more than eight years and brain cancer for about one year decided to increase her intake of high potency AOs. She did so with other supplements for six months. At the end of that period she was found to be cancer free. Her doctors were flabbergasted at the remission of her cancer. This experience motivated Lupich to write his book and expound on the benefits of high potency AOs. Groundbreaking and informative, ANTIOXIDANTS is filled with practical insights and alternative solutions that offer a new beam of hope to cancer patients and their families.

“Build-A-Boob” is the inspirational story of one woman’s refusal to give up on having her breasts and her life restored after breast cancer radiation destroyed her chest at the age of 46. Breast cancer affects us all. Most of us know someone who has it or has had it. What we don’t know and don’t often hear about are the stories of pain and the physical and emotional scars that are left behind. This is about survival ………after the cure.
Her story offers hope to millions of women, showing how actually using liposuction can rebuild a breast by regenerating one’s own skin. Very few plastic surgeons are currently using this procedure and this is an important issue for all women.
The technique of using liposuction to rebuild a breast in its entirety is not new. What is new is that Lisa Masters’ stems cells from her fat totally restored the skin and fat damaged by radiation allowing the eventual insertion of a permanent implant. All of this was done through trial and error, and her plastic surgeon, Dr. Sergio Zamora says that this procedure works every single time. The process took four and half years to complete.
In addition, she addresses medical insurance concerns and how her HMO, Florida Health Care BC/BS, supported her through this lengthy process.
Lisa, like millions after being diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, went through the typical therapies. She underwent two lumpectomies, chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy followed by immediate reconstruction with the insertion of tissue expanders and a hysterectomy. When she healed from the surgeries, she had radiation therapy.
It only took 15 additional surgeries, but, Lisa Masters now has two breasts and a purpose…to spread the word and break the silence of those who live with the scars that breast cancer has left behind.
The book is written from her perspective which includes 25 very graphic breast photos from beginning to end along with her own photo in order to make the story personal. The medical photos alone tell a story of success and they are difficult to look at. However, she feels those photos must be shown to the world and must be connected to a face; her face.
Build-A-Boob talks about Lisa Masters’ family and their life prior to cancer. The book also talks about the toil this disease took on everyone involved.
“Build-A-Boob” is a story of failure, pain, determination and success told with humor and optimism that involves a tenacious plastic surgeon and a woman who never settled.
Included is a “Forward” written by plastic surgeon Dr. Sergio Zamora, Daytona Beach, FL

It is with great love, respect and affection, along with a beautiful life that I write these words. These heart-felt experiences that prompted me to chronicle the ordeal is what I want to share with the reader. This book is but a very small window of my soul; so much more in the depths of my heart will not and cannot be shared with anyone. I have attempted to be truthful and honest in expressing what to me was and is important to know when caring for a spouse with a fatal illness. Of all maladies, the loss of one's mental faculties is the saddest of all. With Alzheimers, despite opinions ,we really are not sure how much one can comprehend. This is a reminder to all caregivers medical and family to always speak to the patient directly. On so many occasions they would discuss his condition (not always positive) as if he wasn't there. I too, may have been guilty of doing the same thing. It is beyond the scope of human understanding how a respectable useful person can be reduced to such a level. Still, I felt many times that he was somehow helping me with decisions and I still feel he is with me urging me on; yet without verbalization.Through faith in him and in God, we somehow managed. Our journey was unique for us and yours will be also. Yet underneath it all there is a common thread ; that component in humans is what unites us, that makes us feel another's pain. As I write these words, I feel that his message to me is " go ahead, live your life as God indended" To the reader: Take courage The sun will rise tomorrow
