The Jewish people have honored the principles of the Torah for thousands of years. Today, the Jewish people make up less than 1% of the world's population. However, their contribution in global affairs is enormous. This book presents a unique perspective about Jewish culture and history. It sets out to investigate the causes of the success of the Jewish people. The History & Mystery of the Jewish People unleashes some core elements and aspects of the Jewish society that have enabled Jews to remain at the helm of affairs in professions and institutions for centuries. It uses a rationalist approach to go over the history of the Jewish people. It examines the individual and collective philosophies that have shaped the thought and mindset of the Jewish people for the past centuries. The book undertakes some comparative analysis between the Jewish society and culture and the African society. It identifies the equivalents of the Jewish culture in the Sub-Saharan African community. This piece ventures into elements of Jewish history from Ancient Israel to the Destruction of the Second Temple. It gives a vivid account about events that led to the creation of the modern state of Israel. This daring quest brings to light some elements of today's society like the root of the War on Terror amongst others. The book is a unique narration by an African writer in an African context.

By Elsa M. van der Laaken
"1960 DESTINATION ISRAEL," was written by the author for her children who don´t know much about this period of her life. In 1960, Israel was not exactly a tourist destination. Instead the country was receiving a fascinating influx of Jewish immigrants from all over the world and Elsa, a "goy," was in the midst of them. The voyage to Israel was at the invitation of a Jewish scientist who had studied in Holland. Elsa van der Laaken found employment in Beer-Sheba and Jerusalem and stayed in Israel for 2 1/2 years. The result was a collection of handwritten journals embellished with photos and historical notes that eventually shaped this book. The author´s writing challenge was to stay faithful to her younger self and her impressions of the State of Israel in its formative years. The story describes a series of events experienced by a young adult ready to grow up and leave home. To learn more about the author, as well as her WW II memoir, "A Point of Reference," go to www.vanderlaaken.com.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS: Introducing Armageddon is Debora Roth Brewer’s first published work that details the controversial ten covenant commandments from G-D to the Jewish nation of Israel. The author makes a distinction between the first spoken articles of the Law of G-D and these ten covenant commandments by defining the two Hebrew words, ‘mitsvah’, and ‘dabar’ that are translated into the English word ‘commandments’. Taking the reader on an in-depth study, starting with preparation of the children of Israel to receive G-d´s Law from Mount Sinai in the book of Exodus chapter Nineteen, the secret to unlocking Armageddon is found in scripture. The first ten articles of the Law of G-d found detailed in Exodus Chapter 20 is what is traditionally accepted by the known Church world as ‘the ten commandments’. As the reader embarks on a biblical study it is discovered that G-D calls another passage of scripture from Exodus the tenets of His covenant with Moses & Israel, and specifically names these words “the ten commandments”. Without undermining the importance of today’s “ten commandments”, Debora Roth Brewer challenges the reader to delve deeper into the word of G-d to discover the covenant between G-d and the nation of Israel that is just now being revealed by the Spirit of G-d. Spurred on by a “what does it matter” attitude from fellow Christians, and direct opposition from denominational mind-sets, the author cried out to GOD for inspiration. The LORD took her on a journey through His Word. From Moses to Zephaniah and from Jesus to John the Revelator, this book will challenge the Biblical novice, and also intrigue the doctors of the law. This book is not for the lukewarm at heart toward the things of G-d, but is aimed at those whose opinions are either hot or cold.If you have a definite opinion about the nation of Israel, about Christianity in general, or about the second coming of CHRIST, this book is for you.
