I was born in San Francisco, and have been 'Tooning' since my father gave me a piece of butcher paper to sketch on when I was 5. My illustration of a mans profile brought praise from my parents. Some of the characters featured here; Doctors, Seniors, Musicians, Lovers etc. There is a section toward the back of the book that might be considered risqu to some people. I would say some of the humor here are from mild to wild. I know I enjoyed creating my paper people and I always will.

Laugh to Love has one of the best collections of rib-ticklers in the modern era and laughter will be echoed in pubs, restaurants, meeting places including the loos! It will be no surprise that many pages will be repeated by entertainers, journalists, politicians and those who wish to spice up their speeches or conversation. What critics are saying: Laugh to Love will provide laughter to many through the ages. But what impress me most are the subtleties in many lines that are lessons for us to learn. What a gem! Its written in such good taste that politicians, CEOs, holy ones, egotists, sexists and hypocrites are humbled. Im a traveling executive and Laugh to Love will always be in my briefcase as my best mate.

Readers Digests Laughter the best medicine is not without merit. Various medical studies have arrived at the same conclusion. Here is a book that aspires to meet the challenge. This book is a short compilation of humor that the author collected over his career. This book maybe useful for those undergoing healing, as well as, those seeking to relieve stress and just enjoy life in general. There are times when someone at a gathering or a party is asked to share a joke or two and the person could be tongue-tied. It is hoped that this book will provide the ammunition to share good humor with family friends and gatherings. Successful public speakers often start their speech or presentation with a joke, tying it to their subject and try to get the attention of their audience. The book includes real life situations and anecdotes covering a broad range of topics experienced by the author.

The Irish Joke Book is a comprehensive set of jokes about the Irish.

Brendon Kelly pokes fun at the Irish from the troubled times of the 1980s through to the Irish of today, still in global recession like the rest of us.

The Irish can laugh at themselves and wont mind these, or should I say dese, jokes. Just take a few at a time.

Youll laugh, groan and snicker at these sometimes harsh, sometimes crazy but always amusing Irish jokes.

No-one is safe - not pilots on the Irish national airline Aer Lingus, not Guinness drinkers, nor Irish council workers. Sure theyre not safe.

The Irish love a laugh, and have that inbuilt Celt good sense-of-humor, or as we text GSOH. And then theres the lurvely accent, on de ladies. And theyre good looking and the men - arent -

Youll have your favorites. Then youll forget where the hell it was - dat joke. So I wrote dis handy Index at da back.

Ya can test yourself by finding de words in de Index dat you remember all dere, to find de joke again. Or try and remember da joke from the line in de Index.

Tanks a million ...

P.S. Da sketches are of Molly Malone in Grafton Street, Dublin and the Irish milk given when ya donate a pint of blood.

God bless the Irish!

Humour is an effective coping strategy and can be used for self care, staff care or patient care. By developing strategies to bring more laughter into your life, you help reduce stress, improve your focus and effectiveness, enhance your communication and creative problem solving, build morale and strengthen your relationships and overall health.

The best evidence that humour boosts the immune system comes from studies where immune system measures are taken before and after a particular humorous event – usually a comedy video.

Laughter allows the brain to secrete cerebral endorphins (a pleasure hormone that has a relaxing effect). Several biochemical reactions are set in motion when we laugh. The lungs take in two to three times as much air and approximately 400 million pulmonary vesicles become dilated. Laughing before eating makes the digestive system secrete enzymes that make it easier to digest food. When we laugh, the spleen sends a flow of red blood through the body to strengthen it. The pancreas also increases the secretion of insulin. Laughing even has an impact on the immune system. After someone has laughed, the white blood cell level increases.

How much time do you set aside for laughter in an average day? (By this I mean laughing so hard it hurts!) You may be surprised to learn that only a tiny part of the day (an average of two minutes) is spent laughing, even though laughter is the best antidote for stress!

Laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humour lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert.
