By David Albert Francis
A wise man named Brulla Roberts once said. "Drummer man's magic doesn't come from the drum. The magic comes from the drummer man. "Undoubtedly true, but, as six-year-old David knows only too well, without that drum there is no drummer man! Ever since he can remember. David's "felt the itch in his fingers and the rhythm in his wrists." He's tried keeping time with anything and everything , including spoons. knives. and shoes. To Mom's dismay, he's even taken apart the legs of a kitchen chair! One Sunday morning. Mom and Dad present him with a real drum and sticks. As Dad says, "Now you don't have to break the furniture." Racing across town to join Brulla's marching band, David drums his heart out. And when a few short hours later that drum tears, so does David's heart. A touching memoir of jazz drummer, David "Panama" Francis. this glowingly illustrated picture book will inspire and captivate young musicians as well as any child with a dream. Luminous oil paintings enhance the gentle story and further reveal the magic of music and the joy it gave to one "drummer man" from old Miami.

Colossians 3:16 – “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” What better way to teach children Christian values than to plant God’s Word in their hearts at an early age. In fact, God expects us to feed His lambs (john 21:15) by teaching His precepts to our children and grandchildren (Deut. 4:9). What a difference we could make in our nation and world: Feed My Lambs Alphabet Scripture songs is as basic as the ABC’s. It can be used in any children’s setting: home, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Day Care, and Special Education ministries. It is effective for both audio and visual learners as well as for children with learning disabilities. Musical concepts such as: high/low, fast/slow, soft/loud, sounds of instruments, rhythm instruments, keyboard, basic scales, etc. may also be introduced. Children enjoy creating stories to go with the coloring book illustrations. Try cultivating their creativity or communication skills. Above all, concentrate on planting God’s Word, seeds of love, and watching them grow, and your life will be truly blessed.
