Paula continues to keep busy as anaccomplished impressionistic artist who hasshown her paintings at The Lynchburg FineArts Center, Lynchburg, Virginia, as well asin Fairfax, Virginia, and other locations. Sheis a past officer and member of ToastmastersGladiators Club and enjoys public speaking.She is a trained landscaper and avid gardenerwhen she is not writing. She loves horses and riding as well as dogs. She earned botha Bachelor of Arts in United States History and a Master of Arts degree in Counselingfrom Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia. Years after completing studies atHampton, she established the SARAH WILLIAMS BLAIR SCHOLARSHIP FUND inmemory of her late mother to assist future teachers in the Department of Educationat Hampton University. During 9-11, she served as a Loaned Executive for theCombined Federal Campaign (CFC) representing the Army. Under her leadershipseven CFC Campaign Chairpersons, who represented seven Army agencies, raised$1.8 million dollars.Paula has traveled throughout the United States, Europe and the Far East. She lovedSpain and Rome the best. This is the first of many books that she will write. Herlove of people inspired her to write the articles, “Violence in the Work Place”, and“A Kinder, Gentler Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC)” during heryears as a civil servant. She also gave a government contracting company its newslettername, “HORIZON” while employed with the company. She also wrote an articlefor publication entitled; “Chevrolet: A Family Tradition” for a local automobiledealership’s newsletter.
