Nancy J. Bell, Author Born in Honolulu, HI, the author was raised in the city of Detroit, Michigan. After attending Cass Technical High School, she earned a B.A. in psychology from Wayne State University and completed graduate work in Instructional Technology and Education. Her "Back-to-Back With Crack" booklet was used by the Michigan Education Association in 1990 as part of the DARE program. Her involvement with children includes teaching Montessori, counseling emotionally impaired pre-schoolers, tutoring, teaching in day care, serving as an Officer of a School Advisory Council in Pinellas County, Florida, and home schooling for ten years. A doctoral student in public health, she specializes in community promotion and education. She is a mother of three children, and grandmother to five more. Happily married, she loves to teach children how to write stories and draw pictures to make their own books. Kate Sweet, Illustrator Kate Sweet was born and raised in Latin America, and was educated in the Liberal Arts. She has exhibited in galleries throughout the United States. Her colorful art expresses a fascination with Nature and Nature´’ creatures. She hopes children will zoom in with her illustrations to experience the magic of all that exists around them and be inspired to make their own lives joyful and creative. She resides in Florida with her husband and two children.
