Designed to interest children of different ages, this book will grow along with the child for several years or be of special enjoyment to a family: one storytelling book for all. "Kiki´s Sunflower" will delight the youngest. Three year-old Kiki loves the sun and travels from Harlem where buildings hide the light to her grandparents’ sunflower farm in Michigan. "Ophi, the Snake" will appeal to the older child interested in science. Ophi lives with his parents under a big rock in the perennial garden. He grows from a little snake, no bigger than a light brown pencil, to a selfish, aggressive adolescent and finally into a loving snake who attracts Idia, his wise mate. "Magalee’s Diamonds" will enchant the growing child who imagines her own world. Magalee discovers a half buried diamond-shaped stone and secretly carries it in her pocket.
