This book is inspired by my experiences in life on my quest to discover the truth about why we suffer and how to overcome it with devotion, the most endearing and important quality hidden deep within the soul. Some poems express my troubling experiences which I hope will touch and help many people who may encounter similar experiences and some are more devotional which I hope will inspire spiritual aspirants on the path to true enlightenment, I dedicate this book to Srila Prabhupada and Srimate Vrinda Devi who I consider my guiding lights through my often troubling path through life, thank you and love The Lord.

Because of my love of classical music, I always try to impart rhythm and song to my poems. These poems were written between 1965 and the present, either in English, or translated from Czech. They are presented in the following five sections: Love: Without this we could not exist. It gives life luster, happiness and in reality all that is good in life. Nature: Who has not been thrilled observing woods in all seasons. Their sleepy silence in winter, their waiting for spring, their force of life when spring finally comes. In autumn, their explosion of color. Who has not been awed by the diversity of animals inhabiting all niches in every environment. I for one would find life lacking without them. Science: My long involvement with research, its thrilling results as well as heartbreaks, made my life rich and gave me a feeling of satisfaction. Miscellaneous: Poems about special places, special people, and special events. Family: Containing poems to my children and grandchildren. As a father and a grandfather, I am expressing my love for them, my joy in being with them, and my grief when they suffer.

Hi my name is Denise Ammons-Felix. I bring you greeting from Anchorage , AK. I grew up as a military brat and traveled quite a bit. I have 3 wonderful children that God has blessed me with 2 daughters Jasmine Marie, Lolita Ann and 1 son Craig Anthony Ammons I graduated from All Saints Academy in Lexington, Mississippi, where I received my High School Diploma, After which, I went on to pursue a career in the Dental field at Tongue Point Job Corps Center where I received a Dental Certificate and from there I went to The University of Anchorage Alaska where I graduated with a Bachelors in Human Services, and I now work as a care provider for a privately owned facility. I love to read and write and this is what inspired me to write this Poetry book. As I would sit quietly, verses would automatically come to me and I began to put sentences together. The words began to flow and unite with one another. I got enthusiastic and excited about this. Thoughts and feelings of different things started to race through my mind and a natural alliteration for writing started to take place and I soon discovered I had a natural God-given talent that I wanted to share with the world. Through my dedication and hard work, I sincerely hope that these words of encouragement will be an inspiration to someone and lastly I would like to thank those of you who took the time to view my material and purchase my book. May God bless you all. With Love Ms. Denice Ammons-Felix.
