This is a life story that describes how the various influences of Catholic authoritarian dogma and mandatory instruction can negatively hinder the developmental tasks of childhood from the establishment of basic trust to adolescent identity and beyond. This is about avoiding the pitfalls of untoward spiritual and religious training and how a persistent, open and hopeful attitude can help in a recovery. This book is not meant to be a condemnation of those of us caught up in a web of unhealthy developmental or instructional experiences, whether in the Church or within the society at large. Most people act in good faith. This is, rather, a criticism of a institutional/authoritarian belief system that is harmful and destructive if not tempered by a healthy regard for the advancement of knowledge, enlightenment and true faith in Gods universe.

Quantum Linguistic Patterning brings together concepts in language understanding and quantum information processing into a unifi ed methodology for rapid change work. This second volume extends the model of cognitions as quantum information systems to explore more complex techniques including parts integration, binds, presuppositions, hypnotic inductions, pattern interrupts and the quantum Zeno-effect. The processes utilise and exploit cognitive dissonance through simple language patterns tied to our maps of reality. Once the basic technique is mastered you will be amazed how one simple unifying model explains and enhances powerful persuasion techniques ranging from everyday speech, in business, education, coaching, or even therapy.

About Volume I Quantum Linguistic Patterning brings together concepts in language understanding and quantum information processing into a unified methodology for rapid change. The neurological state of a person moment to moment is stripped back to cognitions modelled as quantum mechanical systems. The model is developed into quantum based patterns for key linguistic change techniques. A simple state-table model is then applied to change work from which powerful linguistic statements arise naturally. The techniques in QLP provide a simple, practical and usable set of strategies which when mastered will turn you into a master communicator and supercharge your ability to persuade and influence.

The MAP WORKBOOK, written by Clinical Psychologist, Skipi Lundquist Smoot, PhD has been designed to be used by Readers of Maturation: The Adult Paradigm for assessment of personal levels of Psychological Maturity vs. Immaturity.

At the core of Psychological Immaturity lies excessive dependency and fear of rejection. The goal of Adult immature behavior is reduction of anxiety. Higher levels of Adult Psychological Maturation occurs through an instructional “process” of Cause & Effect underling human behavior and communication. Dr. Smoot defines Psychological Maturity as a necessary but usually disregarded “Missing Link” for attainment of functional resolution of Anxiety.

Personal Growth and Mature relationships (Tasks of Maturation) can occur by adhering to a set of Universal Principles (Laws of Cause & effect) based on “Processes” underlying objective reality. Five Lessons Of Life (Control, Responsibility, Reality, Cognitive Decisions And Moderation) teach methods for making more successful realistic decisions.

The Map Workbook can also be used by mental health professionals as well as readers of Self-help literature. The 10 scales of The Map Workbook (taken from The Test of Ego & Cognitive Development) identify and classify areas of functional vs. dysfunction emotional blockage and illogical thought.

We are born with a Mission – To explore our own Path. By our attitudes and behaviors we choose to explore it............ or not

Irvine, CA (Release Date TBD) A clear boundary between adolescent and adult development has not yet been identified. In her enlightening new book, author Skipi Lundquist Smoot, PhD cites a majority of Adult Emotional Distress and Anxiety to fall on the continuum of Ego & Cognitive Immaturity/Maturity vs Neurosis/Wellness. Dr. Smoot defines Psychological Maturity as a necessary but usually disregarded Missing Link for attainment of functional resolution of anxiety. This Adult stage of Human Development leads to higher levels of ability to tolerate frustration, delay gratification and accept objective reality. Educational Methods for its achievement can be learned to help arrive at more successful life choices. We are born with a missionto explore our own path. Psychological Maturation requires tolerance of personal differences without giving up individuality in the presence of emotional or social pressure to do otherwise. Mature choices are based on ability to think about feelings and choose to respond to them or not based on what is best for the self and others in the long run.

This well written book will be a very valuable resource for parents, teachers, counselors of children and adolescents and any worker who wishes to aid a child in improving and developing their cognitive abilities, in particular in relation to improving their attention, concentration and memory. The book is clearly written and scholastic in nature however it steers away from being a dry text book with little or no practical application as the exercises recommended are very solution focused and problem solving based. The explanations of the functions of the human brain are also well described and the link between structure and function is also very comprehensive and well presented. Overall I would highly recommend this textbook to the afore mentioned professionals.

The Master of the Universe, with the aid of other humans, gave the adult human beings the blueprints necessary to develop these little souls in such a way that they would learn the material life while never forgetting their spirit life. These blueprints were so necessary in aiding the spirit-beings to remain as their authentic self and not become an artificial or adapted self. Becoming an adapted self implies always trying to please someone else instead of remaining genuinely who God intended them to be. This adapted self is also called The Ego. Because these creatures are so unique and so complex, it will take them many years to learn how to live and function on the planet earth. Learning to live on the planet earth is no easy task.

The developmental tasks are so vital to our psychological growth. The key factor of all these stages is nurturing. If sincere nurturing is lacking, these spirits’ material life will be dwarfed. They will never reach their magnificence. This is one of life’s greatest tragedies. Nurturing is the stuff of life that causes growth to the spirits becoming human, fully human, genuinely human. If nurturing is sparse, then that soul wanders through this vale of tears trying to eke-out some stroking. Selling themselves short to get a little of something they desperately need for survival. The souls will put themselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that offers some semblance of nurturing and stroking.

This is where negative attention seeking behaviors appear. Negative attention is perceived by the little souls as preferable to no attention. Parents and caregivers have to have had such nurturing or have learned how desperately it is needed in order to give it to others. Their responsibility is so great that if they truly realized the magnitude of this responsibility each spirits’ coming would be accompanied by much prayer and great awareness. Nurturing and stroking activates the nervous system, causing the organism physically and psychologically to expand and grow. If you have ever seen the delicate process of dough rising, as it is kept warm so that it will eventually support life, you can better understand the needs of this infant and how stroking expands the psyche and nervous system.

I took the liberty of writing my Parents book not because I think to know more than the well-informed parent and experts, nor do I bring onto the table novel thoughts that have not been tackled before. I wrote it to reinforce other great ideas and to add some new ones for those parents who need help. This book profiles many principles and practical approaches based on my personal experience and on my educational and professional background as a certified child developer and a former preschool teacher.

I strongly believe that no matter how many people talk or write about parenting with all its challenges and rewards, there will always be room for another parent to add his or own personal experience and to bring informed insights into the picture. These are my intentions in this book. Most of all, this book is a real labor of love and my personal voyage shared with my son and many other parents throughout the years; it is written from my heart. Each chapter will explore problems and solutions to help parents deal properly with many complicated matters. I will engage in discussions with you, will give examples and will state facts and opinions gathered throughout my extensive reading and research.

The reality of it is that we live in a society that has snapped out from its innocent age into the complexity of our modern world. Human relationships are very complicated and daily problems are on the increase between parents and children, and in turn, there are different and new challenges daily that are hard to handle. This Parents book gives answers to questions and holds hands with parents and children. My hope is to see an improved quality of parental communication that will benefit all families and our society at large. I would like to see parents helping parents to pave the way toward a brighter future for their children.

It is my pleasure to be addressing you my fellow parents. I hope that my contribution will help make your parenting journey an enjoyable one. The happiness of good parenting is not only a destination but also a way of life.
