Despite repeated assurances that flying is safe, hardly a day goes by without a fatal aircraft crash. Many programmes have been published in an attempt to eliminate aircraft accidents but the problem still exists, apparently unabated. On a daily basis new pilots are injected into the aviation scene. Their safety consciousness is limited by the experience of their tutors. Intentional Safety is not taught. And so the cycle continues. This book does not skirt around the problem using non-specific, moderate impact generalities. It is a concise, pointed and hard-hitting attack on the problem. It is aimed at every level of aviation. Note it and live.

A little known town, just outside of Manhattan, nestled within the boroughs of New York, Bayonne has an eclectic bunch of folk, these people are the residents of Bayonne, known as the Bayonitte. The Language of Bayonne is Bayonnease. We will now set forth to defi ne subtle differences in the American language, and the language spoken here, in this part of the world: Bayonne, New York. In this study of a regional speak of the English (American) language, you may fi nd that the words contained within these pages much like many words that have been associated with the typical language of the modern day New Yorker, proving that Bayonne is, in fact, the lost 6th borough of New York, like a red headed step child. This dialect may be considered Soprano-esk, so expect to encounter shock & awe in this translation of a full frontal language. Please proceed with caution, a sense of humor is defi nitely required. Historically, it is necessary to inform the reader that back in the early 1800s the people of Bayonne felt it necessary to separate themselves from the State of New Jersey, chewed off their arm and dug out the Morris Canal, in an attempt to turn Bayonne into an island. It worked for a while, and Bayonne had almost completely seceded from the state of New Jersey, until they were pulled back in, it was like trying to get out of the mafi a. As a matter of fact, NJ Mafi a members disapproved and the Morris Canal was fi lled in, with the bodies of those that pulled this stunt, and Bayonne was once again connected to New Jersey. Damn it !

The nexus between best practices and student achievement is demonstrated from the GRASP Project, discovering how some California charter schools with higher academic achievement showed evidence of a greater number of best practices as measured by performance, governance, education program, human resources, business practices, and facilitiesthe education program infrastructure. Surprisingly, technology did not show a correlation for reasons explained in the nexus. Moreover, the nexus is bolstered by administrative, innovation, and competition theory serving as foundations for The Nexus. The Nexus also introduces strategies to implement best practices and process improvements through Lean Six Sigma methods and strategic and action planning. The search for the next practice designed to improve education programs is perpetual. The significance to accreditation is profound as student achievement measures will require metrics paced to reform movements such as Common Core Standards derived from international settings. By the same token, quality education will become clearer as edification through international benchmarks such as ISO 9000 will promote higher standards of excellence. The Nexus conclusions have relevance to all school systems since implementing best practices can elevate student achievement. The reason is clear: the more a school system operates efficiently through best practices and process improvements, the more time is available to the school leadership to devote attention to academic achievement as the ultimate product of education. And for those invested in school improvement, a higher value-added education with a higher return on investment.

Numerous publications exist which examine elements of the security discipline. Few address these elements as a continuum of interrelated functions. None examine the structure of Offensive vice Defensive security in anything other than the domain of international security . This text has been written to fill this gap and to support a course in Offensive-Defensive Security, developed by Henley-Putnam University, which briefly reviews the history of the field of strategic security and its three component parts protection, intelligence, and counterterrorism as well as its two distinguishing characteristics: offensive tactics and operations combined with technological innovation. The course then moves to an in-depth assessment of related security areas that focus on defensive tactics and operations: homeland security, criminal justice, conflict and peace studies, and emergency management. While these fields may appear at first to be part of strategic security, this course and the associated text explores the critical differences and the fact that they are also critical elements of industrial, governmental, and military security. Emphasis will be placed at an introductory level both academic and professional distinctions and discuss the structures associated within these domains. The text is divided into the following key sections: Section 1: The Basics Section 2: The Environment Section 3: Security Planning and Management Section 1 provides an orientation for the reader to a common frame of reference through information provided in the following chapters. It is not intended to be a single source of all relevant information. Additionally, this text is not intended to be the exhaustive single source for all conditions. Rather, it provides a roadmap of considerations on how to reach a specific goal in an efficient and informed manner. Section 2 examines the world the security professional must inhabit, again, in a generalized manner and, likely, in a way never before considered. Elements of neurology, biology, physics, philosophy, logic, analytics, and finance are presented in a manner unique to the changing paradigm of Offensive-Defensive Security philosophy. The various chapters are labeled as terrains as the best representation of the environmental information to be discussed. Each will approach the topics in as clear a manner possible of current thinking and science within each as critical to the understanding of the total security environment; the how, why, and in what ways they will affect the world of this security paradigm. Finally, Section 3 incorporates the information of the first two sections and applies the knowledge gained to the planning and management of an integrated security plan. The objective of this section is to utilize the concepts and processes developed via international agencies such as the Project Management Institute to demonstrate how to create an integrated and manageable enterprise structure and not a one-size fits all template. As the knowledge consolidates, integration begins, that of incorporating the security entity into the enterprise as a whole be that enterprise be a business, government entity, or military operation. The only difference is the scale. This is a vital step in that the act of protection cannot interfere with the process of performing the enterprise function. In fact, it must enhance the enterprise function and assist in ensuring its success. Key Learning Points The approach and purpose of this text has been outlined. The following are the key reasons or learning points in summary. a. Define the key elements and environments within which the security plan and operational management activities must occur b. Familiarize the student with cultural, biological, financial, informational, and legal aspects necessary for the understanding of how these domains influence human behavior; the primary aspect of security planning and operations c. Familiarize the student with the analytical processes necessary to incorporate the above into the structure and culture of the organization or entity to be protected d. Enable the student to develop understanding of the need for an integrated approach to security operations e. Provide a systematic approach for the development of plans and operational metrics for the management of these plans. The following sections delve into the environments within which the security professional must operate. They are not exhaustive, as this would expand this text beyond usefulness. Nor are they in many cases more than theory, as the sciences involved are still evolving. They are, however, an introduction into a world generally not considered previously in the depth necessary for understanding.

Effective leadership is required in the twenty first century churches, as these churches are facing numerous issues due to ineffective leadership. In order to lead churches, wounds of leaders must be healed up in the Christian ministry. Today, the churches of America are facing leadership issues because their leaders wounds are not treated and healed up. This results in critical, crippling and catastrophic effect on the Christian Ministry. Those life-threatening wounds must be identified. The healing of the wounded leader is essential to the Spirit well being of the people. The purpose of the study is to investigate the wounds face by church leaders. The study also investigates that how these wounds affect church leadership. This study also identifies methods of healing of wounded leader and interventions used from transforming wounded leaders into an active and effective leader. Many churches are facing numerous leadership issues due to leaders wounds. Identification of this issue is important for the development and implementation of churches in America. This study classifies wounds as divorces, childhood traumatic experiences such as rape, molestation and physical abuse through domestic violence, emotional abuse through verbal altercations and mental abuse from a sibling, parent, spouse, authority figure or partner in a relationship. For this study mixed method was done. Survey interview questions and observational research were done. According to the participants, many of the transformational leadership concepts are transferrable into the church context, however, including idealized influence, which espouses the leader as a role model with high moral standards and ethical conduct, and as one who considers the needs of others before his or her own. According to the participants, Old Testament suggested, there are numerous examples of leadership development in the Old Testament, the short space available in this review will dictate a focus on one of the most obvious and well-known leadership examples. Due to leadership issues in American churches, Christian community is reluctant to visit their nearby churches regularly. The results depicted that due to past wounds or inner wounds the church leaders are not able to have Holy spirits. The wounds must be healed up for attaining pure Holy spirits. If their wounds are properly healed up then they can more firmly believe as the apostle on the super natural healings signs and miracles. The unhealed wounds of the church leaders hinders in the way of the leaders for praying for the humanity or for those who are suffering from hardships regularly. The lack of pastoral visitations of the members is due to the wounded souls of the leaders. For increasing the pastoral visitations of the members, the church leaders wounds must be healed up by using various methods. Ineffective leadership is practicing in the churches; these leaders are not conducting the different counseling sessions for the Christian communities. The Christian communities are not interested in visiting churches because of the ineffective leadership. The church leadership is not effective to spiritually inspire Christian communities. the church leadership is not effective to initiate programs which are helpful for attracting and retaining Christian communities. missionary programs are not being implemented by many American churches because of lack of effective church leadership. The secondary research findings proved that transformational leadership is the ability of the leader to appeal to the moral values of followers in an attempt to raise their consciousness about ethical issues and to mobilize their energy and resources to reform institutions. Wounded leaders must the scriptures to heal negative feelings. Using the Bible is the best way to heal wounded souls.
