My name is Dr. Pearlie Braswell-Tripp, Ph.D. I do not claim to be an expert in religion, psychology, or counseling, but experience has taught me a lot about all three. 2 Timothy, 2:15 says: �study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.� I was born in 1943 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina into a Christian family. My family was attending the Rock of Ages Holiness Church. My mother, Sister Mary Jones-Braswell played the guitar; my sister, Christine Braswell played the piano and the rest of the family sang. There were seven of us girls. My sisters; Frances, Christine, Doretha, Verna, Margaree and Mary Lee were older. We were known as the Braswell sisters. My father was Lee Braswell, the most handsome man in town. I will never forget the great times we had in Rocky Mount, nor will I forget the great Rock of Ages Holiness Church. Our church was two blocks away from our home. That meant we had no real reason not to go. Many of my other relatives attended Rock of Ages also. My mother�s parents attended and so did her brother and his family. Those were what we now call �The good ole days.� I really loved those days. We traveled around singing the gospel until we left home for New York City in 1961. We were rooted and grounded in religion.

Quisiera compartir con ustedes esta historia ver�dica que vivimos mi familia y yo. Hace unos a�os nos mudamos de un Estado a otro, en los Estados Unidos, para cuidar de un familiar quien habia enfermado de gravedad. Ya establecidos, decidimos ir en busca de una iglesia donde pudieramos perseverar y buscar de Dios como El nos ha encomendado; por tanto, tomando la guia telef�nica, comenze a llamar a las iglesias del �rea. Al siguiente d�a, una de ellas contest� mi mensaje. Luego nos enviaron una persona para dirigirnos al lugar de reuni�n. Ese d�a conocimos al l�der de la iglesia el cual se present� como el Doctor �Zeta�; yo le llamare de esta manera para no revelar su verdadera identidad. El primer d�a de servicio nos pareci� bastante com�n. Luego nos retiramos a nuestros hogares y regresamos al d�a siguiente y sucesivamente continuamos asistiendo sin faltar ni un d�a.

Consecuentemente fu� descubriendo cosas nuevas; cosas que me envolvian en un laberinto de dudas y pesares. Poco a poco comenzaron las exigencias y la manipulaci�n no tard� en llegar. Este hombre estaba siempre al tanto de cada uno de nuestros movimientos a tal grado que ya nuestra libertad iba menguando. Si poniamos alguna resistencia, el pastor buscaba la forma de ubicarnos nuevamente por medio del acoso, intimidaci�n y aislamiento. Todo el pueblo estaba subyugado a sus caprichos y nadie se atrevia a protestar. Luego pude entender que a cada uno se nos habia hecho una advertencia, individualmente, utilizando las Escrituras o la falsas profec�as. Pensabamos que si le eramos fiel a el tambien le estabamos siendo fiel a Dios.

A medida que pasaba el tiempo la situaci�n comenzaba a agravarse, al punto de que nosotros preferiamos aislarnos en nuestro propio mundo y no contarles a nadie lo que estabamos viviendo. Pero un gran d�a, llegaron a nuestra casa unos viejos amigos para visitarnos y contarnos un sue�o que su esposa hab�a tenido de mi. Cuando lo escuche, no podia creer que ese sue�o era parte de lo que nos estaba sucediendo. Aunque nos daba temor hablar sobre aquellas cosas, yo les confese algunas que estaban sucediendo. Ellos no se sorprendieron, por el contrario, nos dieron un consejo; consejo que qued� grabado en nuestros corazones y fue cavando hasta lo m�s profundo.

Despues de aquella visita pudimos entender que era como el mismo Dios que nos habia visitado para quitarnos la venda que nos tenia ciegos, espiritualmente hablando. Pudimos entender que aunque las pruebas llegan cuando menos las esperamos, Dios siempre llega cuando m�s lo necesitamos. Aunque no regresamos a esta secta religiosa, los acosos no cesaron tan facilmente; el temor nos invadia nuevamente pero solo la mano del Creador fue suficiente para librarnos de aquellas garras que nos aprisionaban. Hoy d�a puedo decir con alegr�a, �Dios siempre tiene el control.� No caben dudas de que cada situaci�n que vivimos tiene una raz�n de ser.

A traves de mi experiencia y por este medio deseo compartir con ustedes los secretos de nuestra victoria por la Palabra, y consejos que les ayudaran a tener una mejor vislumbre de lo que es el verdadero servicio a Dios.

In but a little while the L’vanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field regarded as a forest. On that day the deaf will hear the words of a book, and out of gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see. The humble will again rejoice in ADONAI and the poor exult in the Holy One of Isra’el. Isaiah 29:17-19.

Is Only a Few the book referred to in this verse? It very well may be. Only a Few does open the eyes of the deceived, the sleeping, and the ones who cannot see the truth in the Word of God.

The Word of God has been twisted and manipulated by man, for their own motives, for the past two-thousand years. However, now that the end-times are creeping up on us, light must be shed on the twisted lies and deceptions that Satan has created. Truth, understanding, and righteousness are the ways of God. Ignorance to the truth only shows that one has not put forth the effort required; the effort God is looking for; the effort which shows that one has truly put ´The Almighty´ first in his or her life.

The Bible speaks of, both, the righteousness of God and the sins of man. Regrettably, many, over the centuries, have aligned themselves with what was sinfully corrupted by man, making it their doctrine, and therefore, forsaking the righteousness of God. These twisted doctrines have grown to appear righteous to believers, but they are not righteous in the eyes of God. Half-truths are merely lies and the God of the Bible cannot accept lies, even if they are done in His name. Our walk with God is a walk toward righteousness. The job of the Holy Spirit is to show us truth, and all believers must decide to walk in truth (love the truth), or live with the lies. In other words, many have been living a "lukewarm" life for God.

In Only a Few, Tadzik Zdan explains that God is a loving God, but, His love is contained within His righteousness. God loves all whom He created, but if they do not abide by His righteousness; His laws; and His teachings, He has no choice but to condemn the unrighteous ones (even if they have been deceived into thinking they are righteous to Him). It exposes the sinful path of God’s believers throughout the centuries, as foretold within the prophecies contained in the Bible. The keys to the New Testament are contained within its parables. They show the plight of the believers and non-believers alike and are the keys to eternal life.

Only a Few systematically explains the deceptions that have been implemented over the centuries, and what God is looking for in His righteous ones. The true -and most biblically sound- interpretations of the parables are exposed; all to the righteous glory of God. Everyone who has read the Bible, or even simply owns a bible, needs the enlightenment of this book so that they may stand righteous to the Creator and shed the lies of the past (the eyes of the blind will see). Only a Few celebrates the righteousness and greatness of the Almighty, and it is a must read for the times we live in. So, if God is truly important in your life, this book will be the oil for your lantern.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. God will fulfill his promises to you if you seek him diligently, be obedient, study and apply his word to your life. He will give you understanding and empower you with wisdom and knowledge. Follow his commands; the word of God is active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you. Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.
