GODS MISSIVE TO THE SOUL

THE SISTINE CHAPEL: A Study in Celestial Cartography is a highly mystical and contemplative inquiry into The Mysteries and Esoteric Teachings of the Catholic Church.

The Churchs only onus in the world is to rearticulate the sacred scriptures esoterically into as many artistic venues as possible. Through a comprehensive comparative analysis of the symbolic and esoteric patterns codified to the Judeao Christian Scriptures, the landscape of Jerusalem, Chartres Cathedral (stone and glass), Dante Alighieris La Divina Commedia (pen and ink), the Sistine Chapel (mosaics, paint and wet plaster) and Saint Peters Basilica (marble) the reader can determine for him or herself the efficacy of the esoteric science, which hails from the dawn of the time/space continuum as a direct missive from God.

The author discovered a relatively simple and yet extremely sophisticated mathematical and grammatical system of thought in ancient literature: the integration of the Seven Liberal Arts. Antiquity developed this esoteric science inherent in the soul/psyche to codify the Word of God esoterically into the worlds sacred literature. Each letter of the worlds sacred literature is symbolized and alphanumerically structured, which makes the interpretation of each word far more important than the sum of its letters.

The Holy Writ: i.e. the worlds religious literature is an encyclopedic library of knowledge relating wholly to the soul/psyche. There is no purpose for esotericisms existence other than for God to have a one-on-one relationship with the soul/psyche. Why is the soul/psyche seemingly in the world? How did the soul/psyche come to its present state of existence? What can the soul/psyche do to extricate itself from its plight when the dynamic forces of the world become too oppressive for it to bear?

As one may have read Cicero in The Nature Of The Gods, ancient people were vivid observers of the sky and the celestial bodies because of their livelihood- they were mostly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. The cycles of nature and seasons were the most important factors affecting farming civilizations. The brilliant stars Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and the zodiac were also objects of great interest. These heavenly bodies were regarded as deities even by learned philosophers. Cicero and Socrates had a field day demolishing these strongly held prevailing ideas.

One popular god illusion of the West and Middle East began with patriarch Abraham who was an astronomer from Mesopotamia. He studied Jupiter avidly and could predict its behavior which he used it to his advantage in his migration to the Fertile Crescent and in his encounters with hostile inhabitants. Abraham had the delusion that Jupiter-Yahweh was a deity who could be depended to assist him in troubled times.

The Yahweh Delusion was passed down from Abraham to son Isaac and grandson Jacob. Jacobs 12 sons migrated to Egypt, multiplied and eventually became slaves. Moses a pariah Egyptian prince became the rebel leader of the Hebrew slaves when he discovered his roots.

At the opportune moment, c.1450 BCE, Venus erupted from unstable fast-spinning Red Giant Jupiter and shot into the inner solar system like a billiard ball along a highly elliptical orbit. It had several close encounters with Earth, Moon and Mars and created stunning phenomena or miracles such as the much exaggerated Ten Plagues, parting of the Red Sea, the rain of manna, apparent stopping of the Earths rotation, and even the destruction of the mighty army of Sennacherib near Jerusalem. Moses and his successors apparently knew and could predict more or less unusual celestial phenomena and attributed them to a tribal deity Yahweh who was connected with their deliverance and survival. Every successful prediction or expectation resulted in augmenting the god illusion.

The god illusion evolved through stupendous sagas, cross fertilized by neighbors and reformers roughly from 1500 BCE to 500 BCE. However, the Hebrews had a confused idea of this savior deity and its feminine aspects, such as the Celestial Cow giving manna-milk. In the evolutionary process, Yahwist patriarchs literally wrote off the influential Goddess and made Yahweh a lone male god of Judaism and Christianity.

The underlying motive developing this god illusion is Moses and Israels covetousness of the fertile Holy Land. Moses needed a justification to commit genocide, to rob, loot, destroy and drive out people inhabiting the land of milk and honey. The justification is a tribal god of Israelites who gives mandate to his chosen race to rob and steal the Promise Land from evil worshippers of false gods!

The underlying theory for this god illusion evolution hypothesis is based on Immanuel Velikovskys bestseller of the 1950s, Worlds in Collision. This hypothesis met fierce opposition in academia and Establishment Science. The AAAS Symposium 1974 was convened to address the serious challenge. Here, the author produces abstracts from various experts in various disciplines of sciences and arts to counter objections to the underlying theory. The god illusion presented here is my own interpretation of the psychological impacts and aspects of these astounding celestial phenomena. I am using appropriate knowledge in several disciplines to support my thesis, such as radiation chemistry, upper atmosphere chemistry and behavioral science. My training as a stock analyst to read the underlying environment enables me to read in between the lines, to speculate and connect the gaps and dots together and present a satisfying version of the god illusion.

In a time when religion has lost much of its credibility, the greatest challenge for planet Earth is to find and to maintain the wise balance between our material needs and our spiritual needs. This is not the job of politics and the politician. It is the job of constructive religion and the clergy. Religious psychology, with its accent on a positive attitude, can be a most powerful, effective, satisfying, and inspiring assistant in leading the way. A positive attitude is the greatest medicine in helping ones immune system to conquer illness and pain. A positive attitude can also be the greatest medicine in helping planet Earth to succeed in achieving and maintaining wise spiritual-material balance. We humans do indeed need the inspiring assistance of constructive religious belief and even the profound assistance of a wise touch of spiritual fantasy. We have devoted much time trying to satisfy our material needs. World peace and security and our own peace of mind demand that we put the spiritual realm in proper perspective and that we stay focused on fulfilling and maintaining the wise spiritual-material balance. This is the message of Rel-Psycha psychology of religion. Welcome aboard! Attunement has worked very effectively and inspiringly for me. It can also work wonders for you. But you must be patient. Attunement does not usually develop overnight. With proper patience and deep faith, it will bless you with total inspiration as it has done to me with my overwhelming appreciation. You, yes you, can perform miracles. Religion is the greatest source of miracles. Of course, religion is strictly a belief systema spiritual fantasy that cannot be proven by humans. If your religious beliefs give you peace of mind, stay with your spiritual fantasy and treat as if it is real, but keep it constructive so that you will not lose your peace of mind. Keep it constructive so that you may be blessed with the power of miracles through spiritual attunement. Finally, keep in mind and recite every day the first rule of attunement: The art of living Is the art of giving. So, give with love And be close to God. Follow this rule. It is the sacred path to attunement.

The Knowledge that Leads to Wholeness is the first book to specifically illustrate how the major Gnostic myths underlie Jungs theory of individuation. It is a compelling and in-depth examination of a life-changing journey that begins with the author discovering the forgotten secrets of the Gnostics. These secrets are gradually unveiled as the author and his loyal dog, Gold, are initiated, each in their own way, to put the ancient knowledge into practice.

Dr. Lloyd explores the esoteric side of Carl Jung and reveals the connections between Jungs pivotal theory of individuation, i.e. the journey to wholeness, and the powerful, visionary myths told by the pioneers of the psyche, the Gnostics. He details what happens to a person who is on the road to wholeness, how the person will change, and how a new divine-human identity will be born into the world as a result of undertaking this transformational odyssey.

-KIRKUS DISCOVERIES Review -

Did Carl Jungs principles of psychology have Gnostic origins? A Marine Corps Ph.D. explores the complex mystical possibilities.

Lloyd splits his expansive hypothesis of the souls journey into three vital steps (preparation, undertaking and re-birth) in discovering Jungs path to wholeness. He credits Jung with saving his life by way of unlocking his imagination (the souls voice) and spiritual mindset. The author familiarizes readers with the Gnostic religious movement, practitioners of an intensely spiritual inner exploration, who believed that humans are not bound to experiences solely of the body and mind. His literary gift to Jung is these comparative ruminations, all exuding a great amount of imagination and provocative thought. Running parallel to the authors spiritually progressive interests is his adventuresome interaction with and imaginal dog named Gold, who discovers two seeds of knowledge. The first rediscovers the spark of divine life, whereby humans are one and the same with God, and the second amplifies Jungs individuation theory that the human ego must relate to the unconscious mind to achieve psychological health. Unerringly throughout his narrative, Lloyd grafts Gnostic myths with Jungian wisdom. He focuses on the psychic creator and king of the material world Demiurge in association with second-century Gnostic visionary Valentinus, whose tragic myth of Sophia tells of a restless female deity who travels outside of herself searching for wholeness rather than looking inward, and her ultimate repentance. Comparatively, Jung also writes of humans who restrict themselves to their five senses rather than tapping into the core strength of their imaginative visions where uncanny experiences might spring forth. As Lloyd (and Gold) survey principles of higher consciousness, the self, the transformative life-cycle process, and the concluding Syrian lyrical myth Song of the Pearl as they are juxtaposed against Jungs theories, the author also cites Gnostic challenges to contemporary religious beliefs as in the re-imagined genesis of Jesus of Nazareth. Most interestingly, Lloyd inserts Jung into his narrative to quiz his arbiters as to whether they have the desire to discover the mystery of their existence.

Unfiltered hokum for some, but those who are open to it will find much-needed nourishment and direction for their searching souls.
