SOCIAL SCIENCE - Archaeology

An investigation is made here of a marking and counting system used in Ancient Egypt similar to the one existing in Mesopotamia, during the fourth millennium BCE. Th e archaeological model indicates that, this development was crucial to the invention of writing and to social stratifi cation in both Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt. Th is fact was corroborated by archaeological analysis of the areas, indicating a very early state formation at the beginning of the Middle Uruk Period in Mesopotamia, which corresponded to the Predynastic Period in Egypt. A correlation is made here of proto-signs from both areas, Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt, which was probably used for longrange trade between both regions.

Since the time of Jesus, Europe, starting with Rome, has controlled Biblical Studies. For centuries, one system has controlled all of the data. As a result, a peculiar structure has grown up around Christianity. The story of Egypts role in the development of Christianity has lay entombed in a sepulcher of darkness and silence. Now, the resurrection and ascension of the original archetype of Biblical History is here. This revolutionary work is an address to the scholar but written in the language for all. Unlike any other work before it, this volume does not claim that Egypt simply made contributions to the Bible rather; Egypt is the origin and original model of the Bible. Through the use of Archaeology, Egyptology, and Biblical Hermeneutics, Alfred Williams presents a strong case for Egypt as the dominant force in the formation of Biblical Theology. This work is the first of its kind. Based on the works of Cain Felder, Cheikh Anta Diop and Ivan Van Sertima, this book is an introduction into the 17 other works written by Alfred Williams. Take a journey through time, down through the hallways of History to a time when Egypt worshiped the one God and forged the pattern of Theology that became the prototype for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Funny and fanciful, this is a book about a Coca Box, and an unlikely travel foursome exploring the art and archaeology of Peru. Except that one member of the team likes to collect Precolumbian pottery. If trafficking in archaeological materials is unlawful, it seems to matter little, and in the end it appears her efforts were futile. Everything she bought was fake. Or was it? We may never know. Meantime we bounce over desert tracks along Perus North Coast, through the high canyons of the Central Andes, and across the windswept Altiplano where snow-capped volcanoes pierce the bright blue sky. An enchanting book.
