Frequently overlooked in the search of knowing and acting wisely are some important philosophical and cultural ideas and questions. The kpim of Social Order boldly captures such ideas and questions for awareness through critical thinking. The current volume in the Kpim Book Series makes the point that for a systematic analysis and significance of Social Order to be attained, we need to ask, What is the kpim or central core of Social Order of things? Where does the deepest layer, notion, symbolism, reality and application of social order, programs, human rights, institutions, communities, diplomacy, uprising, social asset, social power, policy action, inter-culturalism, global forces and all else lie? How can we reach and understand the innermost part of Social Order in the modern world? By gathering articles from seasoned, experienced, and emerged scholars from various backgrounds, the book explores deep-rooted questions touching on African context and related societies. The refreshing perspectives, analyses, deep reflections, vigorous arguments, and representations shown by the essays are distinctive and have been referred to as a comprehensive reader in the season of inquiry, meaning and significance of social order in the contemporary time. This is a book no one should ignore. Students, scholars, researchers, universities, colleges, educationists, institutions, policy makers, governments, legislatures, agencies, labour unions, civil society organizations, occupy movements, religious groups, entrepreneurs and the general public will find this book as an asset and a must read. The kpim of Social Order is therefore written out of the critical need to fill the gap for a decisive knowledge society in the modern world.

Vegetarianism is gaining popularity and a mainstream following in the Western world like never before. Historically only practiced among certain Hindu castes in India for religious reasons, vegetarianism is now being advocated as a means to improve personal health, show compassion toward animals, and reduce carbon emissions. It is being promoted by the political left, animal rights groups like PETA, environmentalists, Hindu religious sects, New Age groups, and Hollywood celebrities. Although mainstream academia and media continue to highlight all the positives of maintaining a vegetarian diet, none of the arguments opposed to Vegetarianism are properly or thoroughly presented. Some in academia, government, and the media have even proposed that laws and taxes should be enforced to limit people’s freedom and ability to eat meat. Sonny Desai debunks many of the myths and believes associated with the virtues of Vegetarianism, and proposes the idea that a vegetarian diet may not be as healthy and ethical as people are led to believe. In “The Vegetarian Agenda: The Real Reason behind the Promotion and Popularization of the Meatless Diet,” Desai describes in detail many facts about vegetarianism which have been hidden from the public. He explains how vegetarianism’s practice among its majority Hindu population may have contributed to India’s continual subjugation by foreign rulers, and how vegetarianism may have contributed to the creation of the brutal Hindu caste system. He describes how the Indian Hindu immigrants in the West, and their academic and economic success, may be attributed to their vegetarian diet, and why religion is being used to enforce it upon them. Desai also explains the psychological and physiological effects vegetarian diets have on the human mind and body, and how by understanding it people can freely choose what to eat and not eat. Most importantly, he describes how vegetarianism is being used as a means of mind control by social engineers who would like to recreate humanity to be able to easily adapt to the new science based technological society.

By Carlos Civita
In this captivating, often humorous book, Mr. Civita expresses his opinion on thirty-four prominent topics, divided in five groups: society, family, politics, us, and sports.
On the first group, Mr. Civita’s spotlight moves from the ambiguous definition of Ambition and today’s healthcare problems, to his sarcastic view of gossip, stupidity, snobbism, and humanity’s misuse of its gift of speech.
On the second, he criticizes the excessive use of high-tech equipment by the young and the scarce time and attention that many parents dedicate to their children.
On politics, Mr. Civita examines the differences and similarities of liberals and conservatives, censures the pacifist attitude, and responds to the question of why so many people hate Americans.
On the fourth group, the author makes fun of hypochondriacs, superstitions, and soap operas, debates politeness, patience, optimism versus pessimism, and describes the dramatic life of a trauma surgeon.
The fifth and last group includes two satiric stories: how to win a soccer world cup and the tricks that can help you defeat a better tennis player.
Mr. Civita has succeeded in compiling appealing subjects, on which he offers his polemic and satiric view in this entertaining and witty book.

America may be a great country, but it´s also a hotbed of ridiculous laws, ludicrous media practices, and outrageous decision-makers says author Paul Holbert in his new book, Dunce Cap, a no-holds-barred chronicle of the silly side of the U.S.A. dedicated to the nations´s veterans. But unlike many books that satirize America with malicious intent, this book is written by a patriotic American who openly supports his country- giving this book a unique, ironic perspective that many readers will find entertaining. Blunt, humorous, and pleasantly unrestrained, Dunce Cap is a hard look at the nonsensical side of the greatest nation in the world.

´Frank’ly Dickens´ is based on comparative stories taken from the lives of Charles Dickens and Frank Sinatra - two men who stand alone in popular culture in their respective representation of the century and the country that they lived in.
What was so “Frank” about Charles Dickens? Practically everything,as you’ll find out in this book, which leaves the reader wondering whetherFrank Sinatra really was Charles Dickens,or if they had merely lived the same myth, as the author claims.
Twenty years after PBS first aired the six-hour television series, ´The Power of Myth,´ with Joseph Campbell, the series remains one of PBS’s most popular reruns, with the subject of myth still captivating viewing audiences. This story of a shared myth between two famous men whose lives were, and increasingly continue to be, an open book, serves to remind us that we don’t always have to look to the ancient myths to gain insights into life. Charles Dickens and Frank Sinatra serve as perfect models of observation in demonstrating how myth operates in the universe in a span of two centuries. This blending of biography, history, and journalism with esoteric thought - all in the context of myth – makes the subject of this book a totally original one; a new myth created by the author to help us tune in to some of the lessons of the Cosmos.
"The idea of ´Frank’ly Dickens´ is brilliant and the execution is perfect:Patricia Vinci writes American! Her story is clear and precise, breezy and bright. Best of all, she offers something original for all of us to think about and believe in. I loved it! "
- Cedric Charles Dickens
“Keen observation on the part of Ms. Vinci - who weaves a fascinating tale, while presenting inexplicable parallels in the lives of these two men - invites us to look at reality in a new way. Frank Sinatra would be complimented by this comparison to Charles Dickens. This shared myth theory is probably the most original thing written about the singer since his death.”
- Frank Waters, a former editor at The New York Herald Tribune and The New York Times
