As I�m riding in one of the boats of Istanbul Deniz Otobusleri (IDO) in Istanbul, the colorful sea life presents itself in an amazing way. There is everything that I can possibly imagine: from the gigantic cruise ships to the little ferryboats docking at the Karakoy Port, to smaller conventional passenger boats. Istanbul, a marvelous city, portrays itself wonderful with her Turkish ships. The unforgettable and magnificent scene in Istanbul inspired me to photograph Turkish Maritime Lines ships and IDO ferries.
Modern Turkish Ships is the third book of the World Ship Collection. This book will help readers who are interested in learning about Turkish ships. There are 135 ship photographs presented in this book followed by technical data for each ship. There are so many types of hobbies: collecting different articles, fishing, games and sport activities, and so on. For me, my hobby was unusual: taking and collecting ship pictures. Since I was little, sometimes people around me did not value this hobby. I grew up with the intention that this hobby would not benefit only me but also others. This is why I established this book to show people all around the world will look at my pictures and learn something about ships. I went to so many different parts of the world to take pictures of the ships. These ships were not only vehicles on the sea for me but also because they meant more than that. Maybe when someone looks at the ship, he/she might only see a vehicle, but I see more than that. I also established this book for those who have different hobbies to share them with others. Modern Cruise Ships from 1931 to 2008 is a collection of ship pictures which I have been taking since 1995. This book also provides some technical data for each ship. There are more than 130 ship pictures in this book. I also have provided my three cruise experiences in this book. This book definitely will be a great source for ship lovers and who are interested in going on a cruise.

The three stories of Captain Adams' first book, Sea-Quences, are diversified in nature and offer something for everyone. The first heart-pounding adventure takes place on the Atlantic in a gale force on board the beautiful N. G. Hereshoff yacht, Vayu. The original commission was to deliver the yacht to the West Coast by way of the Panama Canal and Mother Nature changed the plan. The second adventure was the same type of commissioned delivery-East Coast departure and San Diego destination, also by way of the Panama Canal.
