Leafy G finds himself abandoned in the forest for being a leaf of a different color. He overcomes many obstacles of loneliness and growing pains. He finds and adopts Sissy as his own and together they teach the other leaves exciting new rules, words, manners and morals.
Leafy G was written to enhance the vocabulary and to promote a positive influence on today´s young minds. It sends a strong message of the beauty of unity. It has captured the attention of children ages two to fifteen and has been a welcomed tool for parents, teachers, and counselors.

Selina G. Smith and Cynthia D. Grimmett are natives of Sylacauga Alabama. From their earliest childhood memories, they were dubbed "Best Friends." At age 10,they won a poetry and art contest. From this time in 1971, Selina began drawing cartoon characters to which Cynthia would create stories about. By graduation, Selina and Cynthia had a collection of stories, poems, and illustrations.
Selina Smith, now a wife, mother, and grandmother created the character Leafy G as a fun and exciting way to teach her young daughter manners, morals, kindness, compassion, and generosity. Now 25 years later, Selina is ready to share Leafy G with others.
Cynthia Grimmett published her first collection of poems NEVER CRY ALONE in 1994. Leafy G and Sissy carries a similar message...the importance of cultivating true friendship.
