My book “Deep Thoughts” has a wide range of thoughts about life, thoughts that every person has experienced at least once in their life, the book is filled with thoughts and meanings to everyday life, which are very intense to the mind, such as love and the feeling of losing love. My thoughts on having a day but truly not knowing this may be your last day or how blessed we are to have this day. Deep Thoughts, By Phillip Reed, is a wonderful book of information and sayings that will open your mind and make you think and look within yourself for meaning. Sometimes we pass the day just to get things done, to start a task and finish it, without distraction. But life is full of distractions. Life is full of thoughts, full of events. What if you stop each day and read a paragraph, read a saying, read something that will get your mind and your heart going? Could we all use a moment each day to reflect, to gain knowledge, to gain emotion? Reed's book gives you that. With thoughts like, "Remember to be all you can be, you only have to be yourself!!" and "In order to be a great Leader, you had to be a great Follower! You can't be one without the other!" With thoughts on Love, Sometimes, Hard Times, Understanding, Locked Up, If Only For a Day, and much, much more, Reed gives us a small sentence or paragraph that give you a jumpstart on your day, or on your week. In school, we used to have daily thoughts and that is just what this book give us, daily thoughts, but "Deep Thoughts". I have found so many uses for this book. I have torn pages and given to my children when I think they need a push or a lesson. I have put pages up on my bulletin board in front of me to keep me going, to keep me focused. I have printed and given copies to friends and family. I keep the book close and read a page a day, when I finish the book I start over again. I can't wait for the next installment of "Deep Thoughts". This is a must read for parents, for business professionals, for everyday people, for EVERYBODY. Pick it up. Read It and explore, not only the book, but what's inside you. Sincerely, Amanda GetBookREviews.com First-time Author Publishes a Book on “Deep Thoughts”

“You have to be able to open your mind to read this. It’s that deep,” is the first line of first-time author Phillip Reed’s book of inspirational quotes appropriately titled, “Deep Thoughts.” The self published work took a year and a half to complete and is filled with what Reed calls, “simple thoughts that we don’t take time to reflect on.”
Reed, a father, husband and 23 year Veteran of the US Navy, started writing as a means to relax five years ago while stationed on the island of Hawaii. “I started to write poetry, but my writings were different than poetry, they were thoughts.” He submitted some of his pieces to critics and publishers, some of which were published. He shared his work with friends and family and was encouraged to compile his writings into a book. He then took his hobby to the next level and published his work.
“Deep Thoughts”, is a thin paper back full of reflections that Reed observed during his travels while serving in the Navy. He has been on 6 continents and visited far and exotic places such as Singapore, Dubai, the Philippines and Korea, just to name a few. “I found that al people have a common thread. That we are not that different,” say Reed. “We are all too busy to take the time and reflect on the simple thoughts of life.”
Many pages in the book are left bare but with one line or a quote. Page number 41 simply states, “We’re all different in many ways, but being different doesn’t make any of us less of a person in any way.” Reed explains that he wants the reader to “fill in the blank of the pages, and create his/her own experience. My words are just inspirations and the reader can elaborate on what it means to them.”
Reed is currently working on three books of various subjects including one titled, “Things You Already Know But Don’t Want to Believe.” Upon his retirement from the Navy he has aspirations of writing a novel about a black man’s journey through life.
Phillip Reed lives in San Diego with his wife of 18 years, Audrey and 16 year old daughter Jaslynn. Copies of his book can be purchased on-line at Amazon.com or at Barnes and Noble stores.

Deep Thoughts is a compilation of thoughts about life. Though some of these thoughts are written in somewhat poetic form and larger page long bodies of prose, most entries are short thoughts about life, about the way that we treat other people, and about how we conduct our lives. These thoughts are usually only a sentence or two long. Most of these pieces are not titled.
Many of the topics expressed in these thoughts express things we know to be true yet we seldom every practice in our own lives. These pieces remind us of this fact while urging us to practice what we preach and be our true selves.
Some of my favourite thoughts are:
"Either be the person you say you can be Or Shut up and be the person you truly are! It’s your decision"
"Just talking to a person the right way will get you a long way with that person!!"
"We are all different in many ways, but being different doesn’t make us less of a person in any way."

DeepThought was one of the most inspiration and common sense book that I have read. It made me think about how the little things life can have an impact on you. This book made me take a look at myself and how I relate to others. My friends and I spent many hours analyzing the quotes from the book. A most read book.

I feel this book could help many teens and communities across America with doing the right things. The network should be grant permission to use the author thought in commercial about teens and communities awareness. It is our duties to get the words out to the masses about this book. Our communities billboards should have quotes from this book, not how to market alcohols to the communities. The school system should post these thoughts in the hallways for words of wisdom and encouragement.
