Born in Austin, Texas, in 1971, Buster LaFrance was inspired at an early age by the writings of fellow Texan Robert E. Howard, creator of the famous Conan the Barbarian. As a teenager, he became an avid fan of role-playing games, most notably Dungeons & Dragons. The world in which his stories are set was one created for such games. Though he aspired to become an author at a young age, true inspiration came to him in his early thirties. "Dark Vengeance" is his first novel.
