Mrs. Barnhardt’s poetry is achingly powerful, unforgettably electric. Her ensemble of personal and electric pieces shows signs of a gifted poet. “Grandma’s House” and “The White Line” ignited sensitive memories of my past. Immerse yourself in this book!!! Congratulations Mrs. Barnhardt!
Hi, I’m Peggy Baxter-Barnhardt,I’m originally from Cincinnati, Ohio but have made North Carolina my home since marriage. I went to College, Corter Institute, where I faced a host of unhappy nursing instructors; back then the prevailing attitude was I got mine you get yours by hook or crook.Thankfully that school is defunct, making it all worth while, but I digress.Writing has always been my passion, fueled by my mother’s razor wit, it flourished. Most of the essays and poems in this book have come from personal experiences and observations as life is often a two edged sword, stranger than fiction and loaded with fantasy [DENIAL}. Many of my offerings have been individually published but I wanted to super-size it for you.My first submission as a child was to Humpty Dumpty magazine. If you remember it you are old. “smile”. It is defunct too, but I’m Still here ‘kickin it’ with you.Enjoy my thoughts.
