She earned her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Talbot School of Theology/Biola University where she taught as Assistant Professor and where students twice nominated her for "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." Tolbert earned her B.A. at New York�s Hunter College.
