DR. LARRY F. Ross Sr. was born in Chicago, Illinois. He spent his early and middle childhood years growing up in Chicago. As a young man, Dr. Ross entered the U. S. Army and served for twenty years. Serving in the military, Dr. Ross had the great opportunity to live in many countries around the world. He holds a bachelor of science in liberal arts from the University of the State of New York, Albany, a master of arts in sociology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and a doctor of strategic leadership from Regent University, Virginia in Beach, Virginia.
Dr. Ross loves teaching and you can tell because of his interactions with students. He teaches a host of courses centering on leadership, sociology, criminology, homeland security and emergency management, as well as management courses in the area of human resource management.
