Synopsis for Bandelier Bunny and the KivaBandelier Bunny And The Kiva is a story about a rabbit and his friendship with a pinyon mouse. The tale takes place in Bandelier National Monument, New MexicoHe learns the meaning of tolerance for others who are different. There is a short history of the Native American chief, Tecumseh .Although not from the Southwest, Tecumseh’s tale works well in the plot.The idea of helping to preserve the Earth’s resources is also presented.
Kathleen Macoughtry grew up in Hinton, West Virginia and nowlives in Laurel, Maryland.She obtained her Registered Nurse Diploma from the University ofVirginia and her BSN from the University of Maryland. She is retiredfrom nursing.She and her husband spend their time traveling and caring for theirmany animals.
