K�la Mandrake's FICTION STORY is a tale of love, loss, magic, murder and a dream come true. Through the poetic translation of tarot cards, it uses several voices to tell one girl's story, with each perspective unveiling another peace of the evocative puzzle.
K�la Mandrake is a writer, photographer and producer. Raised in New York City, she grew up in a basement apartment on the Upper East Side. As a teenager she hung out in abandoned buildings with squatters and punks and joined a glam-rock punk band. She began to photograph the people she met through the years, eventually creating a photography business for New York´s avant garde scene of artists and musicians. She went back to school for Film and Media and began to write her first fiction. Her writing style can best be described as experimental fiction in that it subverts the conventional writing structure and doesn´t fit into a mainstream genre. In 2009, K�la Mandrake completed her first book, FICTION STORY. She resides in Manhattan and is a producer at HBO.
