This book will empower those readers with the necessary knowledge that is crucially important in the performance of any autopsy. A basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology will arm the reader with the proper medical vernacular which will necessitate an understanding of these slated procedures. These outlined and time-tested techniques are an indispensable reference source for any aspiring Pathology Technician. After working for a number of pathology services, I developed and wrote a number of technical procedures for those industries which qualified me as a professional within these varied anatomical communities. This book is aimed at Pathology Technicians so that they will become educated and not inundated by the vast demands of gross anatomy and pathology. My surgical prowess and my ability to teach others those skill sets have been a very rewarding and still considered one of my personal testimonials as an educator.
William R. Ferguson’s interest in pathology first came about after his basic education and introduction to the varied medical communities during his military service. Once Mr. Ferguson had completed his basic training in pathology, he then became a very valuable asset and educator to those said organizations. After receiving this continued education in pathology, he was then introduced to yet another and very different community in pathology, the forensic sciences. His training in the forensic sciences and his insatiable desire to gain a greater understanding into the cause and manner in medico-legal death investigations, was finally achieved through his employ as a pathologist assistant(FMT)with a Medical Examiner’s Office. Mr. Ferguson has now proven himself as a true educator by the numerous qualified colleagues that followed him into these anatomical communities.
