Matt Provenzano graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in CommunicationDisorders in 1998. He then obtained an AmericanSign Language Certification from NorthcentralTechnical College in Wausau, WI in 2000. Mattspent the next seven years working in the socialservice field between Tampa, FL, Orlando, FL and St.Louis, MO. He, along with his family, bought intoa Bruster’s Ice Cream franchise in Tampa, Florida where he is currently part owner/General Manger.Matt understands the importance of belonging to a stuttering support group, and therefore is very active with the Tampa chapter of NSA (National Stutterers Association). It is a group that is dedicated to bring people that stutter together for support. To let them know that they are not alone and that they can stutter freely, without ridicule or shame. Matt also dedicates himself toward educating future speech pathologist by doing presentations to university classes. By giving them a glimpse into the world of stuttering, the future speech clinician can better adapt their therapy style to the individual needs of their client.Matt, and his wife Michelle, have two beautiful children, Joey and Sophia. He enjoys spending as much time as he can with his family. They enjoytraveling, going to Tampa Bay Rays baseball games and hanging out with family and friends. Matt’s other hobbies include golf, playing softball, writing, following all of his sports teams and working in his yard.
