Eros: Faces of Love is Mr. Cannon’s first publication with Xlibris. The 2004 release of Jennifer Graf Groneberg’s anthology celebrating parenthood, My Hearts First Steps, was his first publishing debut. In May 2008, he self-published a collection of poems entitled Traces of Passionate Leaves. The following December, Goose River Press released Intimate Witness: The Carol Poems, a testament to his wife’s courageous journey with cancer. Mr. Cannon was a featured poet at Manchester Community College, Connecticut, and at local Worcester poetry venues. From 2007–2008, he collaborated with singer/songwriters John Small and Lydia Fortune. This creative venture harmoniously weaved together poetry and music. The CD, Small, Fortune & Cannon: Live at the Sturbridge Coffee House, captures some of the ‘60’s style coffeehouse happenings. It is available through John Small at http://www.myspace.com/johnsmallmusic. Currently, Mr. Cannon appears in The Goose River Anthology: 2009 and contributes monthly essays of poetic reflections for The Sturbridge Times, Sturbridge, Massachusettes.
