From incredibly beautiful to curious and fascinating, the images on these pages will no doubt have readers catching their breath. Join photographer Jim Miller on his stirring journey through time and season, as depicted in flowers mingling with the human form. Whether a bud or bloom or seedpod blowing in the wind, the life of flowers parallels the various stages of ours. Much more than a book of photographs, this is proof that true beauty takes every shape, size and form. Inspired by an overflowing flower garden and lifelong study of nature and photography it is a celebration of life and the songs of the heart.
Born in a village on the central plains of India, schooled in the foothills of the Himalaya and then in a small midwest college Jim spent his working life teaching high school classes in Biology, Photography and Art. Retired after thirty-four years of teaching he now lives with his wife on their “Mini-farm” in Indiana. Their two children and spouses and six grandchildren live near by, the most important part of their lives. Jim spends his time gardening, photographing, painting, sculpting, throwing pots trying to meld the twin visions of science and art.
