Mack Bonner is the son of Margaret Ann Bonner of Richton Mississippi, and Jimmie Samuel Bonner of Ovett Mississippi. He was born on March 6, 1979 in Thibodaux Louisiana, and is the youngest of four boys. The family moved back to Richton Ms. in 1982, where he attended Richton Elementary. He enjoyed having many great teachers there, along with his Aunt, Cora Williford, as the secretary. He was a proud member of the Jr. Gardeners and the Scholastic book club. There was always someone pushing him to do better, while also showing love and patience at the same time. There always seemed to be someone around to read him a good book. If it wasn't his Mother, Brother, or Aunt at bedtime, it was a teacher at school. Some of his fondest childhood memories include gathering with friends, or snuggling up to a family member, for those very moments. It's ultimitely those moments, and the extra pushing, that led to him writing this book. He feels that it is very important to read to kids, and wanted to give them something that they could enjoy with their parents and friends. Mack graduated from Richton High School in 1997 and moved to his current residence of Lafayette, LA in 1999.
