Author Billie Atamer, former New York resident, currently resides in Vero Beach, Florida. With extensive writing experience—such as for United Artist Cable Television and writer/producer of both The Sunny Side of the Rainbow with Miss Billie and The Promise Tree with Miss Billie. Her latest book, The Little Purple Pumpkin, was published in June of last year. .Mrs. Atamer’s latest book, Little Red and the Jelly Bean Bandit, will be on the bookshelves in May 2010. She has also worked with many great artist, such as Jane Hansen (the wife of the late Jim Hansen) and David Hagberg (author of By Dawn’s Early Light and seventy-three other titles). Known on stage and screen as “Miss Billie,” she appeared on national television promoting her books, Cindy Lou’s Very Special ChristmasTree, and What’s an Easter?” She attended The Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio where she majored in drama and music and taught creative drama in Armonk, N.Y. Mrs. Atamer founded, Tarra, The Community Theater in Izmir Turkey, where she lived for six years. She is a member of Word Weavers and The Lagoon Writers League of Southern Florida.
