This is a poetry book for the soul! Ive always felt that the world is larger and richer than what our senses convey to our minds. We are not our minds, bodies, names, jobs, etc... We are more than all of that. This book takes you on a peaceful, extraordinary journey, beyond the limits of the ordinary world, to explore and discover who you really are!

Enjoy the ride...

My First Home
Do not blink
Life is quicker than you think
Never cry over the spilled milk
It's gone in the sink
Look around and think
Write down what you see in blue ink
Or weave it with threads of silk
-----------------------------------------------
In my first home, there was an attic
Where I used to escape the world
Play with the old stuff and think:
Why do they keep all that water in three barrels?
It's warm, and very hard to drink
Then my brother told me: We do not drink
That water up there. It's for other things
My first home was spacious, cozy and slick
I used to cuddle beside the fire in the winter
Re-arranging my little cars and the 100-piece Lego
Sometimes mom would use me to do some chores
Inside and outside, riding my blue bike
Everybody knew my name, in that old neighborhood
The shopkeeper, the butcher, the baker, and several others
-----------------------------------------------------
I still see my first home in my dreams
But always forbidden from getting in
To my toys, my 100-piece Lego, and to my mother's room
Where all the sweet stuff was neatly stuffed
For us to enjoy, and sometimes sneak
One here, one there, but she never made a big deal
Out of the small stuff, she has her ideals
-------------------------------------------------------
Since we left that home
We've never come all together again
We've been scattered
All over the planet
The first home was sold
Another family lives there
Another boy is playing the toys
But I'll never forget...
My First Home...

The Walker
His shadow is dancing on the burning desert sand
His shade follows him wherever he goes
The walker has no destination in mind
The sand has covered his hands, eyebrows and jaws
He's following his inner compass, he's not blind
The movement of sand underneath his bare feet
Intrigues him, but at times, makes him mad
Nothing is visible on the horizon
As far as his sight goes
He's always been a loner, but not sad
--------------------------------------------------
Long ago, he had realized
That being with human beings is bad
He also realized
That depending on human beings is even worse
They are nice and fine, as long as you stay away
From their money and wives
But that's not all
They can be aggressive, judgmental and,
Can ruin your life, if you did not realize that
---------------------------------------------------
You came here alone
And you shall leave alone
What's in between, is your own business
As long as you keep your hands to yourself
And your tongue inside
The walker knows that, and more
But he couldn't handle the selfishness around
And since he couldn't keep his hands to himself
His tongue inside
He decided to leave, to explore God's Creation
With his own eyes and ears
With his own pure heart
---------------------------------------------------
People like to repeat the old saying: Life is hard
Which part exactly?
Your own mind is hard my friend!
That's why you think life is hard
The Creator has made it nice and livable
But He Had also Given you an instrument called "mind"
That instrument is so dangerous
It manipulates reality in very clever ways
So what you see, is not exactly what's out there
It's been altered by your own mind
So don't take whatever the mind says for granted
You are bigger than the mind!
The walker knows that
So he escaped the sorry world
Governed by a bunch of distorted minds
---------------------------------------------------
He also asks:
What does happen to our minds when we die?
Does it die with the body!
What is left is who you really are
A soul, pure or not, that's up to you
And to the deeds you have done
While you were still on the land
So go, go walker, explore the universe
It's been created for the likes of you
You are not a nomad
You are an intelligent being who can see the truth
While the rest keep saying: Life is Hard!
That's why you had to leave the Land!

The Lonely Path
When I know where I get going
There will only be happy tears
When I know what I'll be doing
There will be no more fears
The path is long, rocky and trying
But things are beginning gradually to clear
Life is a test; of your soul, and your knowing
That that day shall come, not only appear
Sometimes I feel lonely, when the wind is blowing
Against my ship, losing everything that's dear
Sometimes I know nothing
Of which direction I should steer
Then I let go, of all the steering
For I have no idea, if I'm still here
If I just know,
Where I'm going
There will only be,
Happy tears

Yaman is a father to four wonderful children, and a husband to a very special wife, Hunada.

He had started his professional career as a computer engineer. After receiving a Masters in telecommunications, he shifted his focus towards wireless data communications. While at Motorola Canada, he designed and built the first Voice over GPRS End-to-End System.

Poetry dawned upon Yaman at the beginning of 2011. Over a period of six months, he had written more than 80 poems. The poems then moved from his poetry blog to "The Stranger", his first book. Right now, the blog has over 180 poems. 80 of them landed in the second book, "The Soaring Eagle". The poetry blog, The Soaring Eagle, is one of three blogs Yaman has. The other two are The Sound of Wisdom and The Wealth Maker.

Recently, Yaman received The World Poetry Canada International Peace Festival 2013 "Empowered Poet" Award.

Nowadays, Yaman is involved in several areas of diverse nature: Poetry, creative writing, value investing / trading, coaching, blogging, the outdoors and different kinds of sports. His favorite reading subjects are cosmology, history, spirituality, wealth growth and development (all types of wealth, including spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and financial).

Hunada, the kids and Yaman live in Richmond, BC-Canada.
