I believe the reason many in the media, in academia and in politics have not accepted the gospel is we as Christians have not explained the gospel to them in a manner that makes sense. If people understood the gospel they would receive it. When the gospel message is understood, they would like it because it is good news that brings happiness to a hopeless soul. The central goal for Christian Apologetics is most purely stated as handling objections and further honest objections standing in the way of individuals coming to faith. In this compact book designed concisely for busy people who need solid answers about the Christian belief system one will come away with solid answers and with the awakening of logical and critical thinking regarding biblical claims. Disciplines such as Archeology, History, Astronomy, Jewish Studies and Natural Sciences are separate disciplines that support bible claims and when explored give peace of mind to adherents of Christianity but also to those of other belief systems who seek an objective scholarly study of the Christian Bible. Apologetics which means a defense of the faith, to defend a position, to persuade, providing evidence sufficient to bringing a trial from an arraignment stage to a full blown trial, which was recorded by the Apostle Peter and engaged by the Apostle Paul, in a literal sense when he stayed in Corinth for a year and a half just to teach, to reason with and to answer questions for the Corinthian believers and seekers who had honest questions. The Apostle Paul also engaged apologetics when persuading King Agrippa and Festus. The great Apostle Paul knew by the leading of The Holy Spirit when to preach, when to teach and when to sit with people and when to answer their questions so that the barriers to their believing would be removed. See Acts 18:11 which records "So Paul stayed in Corinth for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God." I believe the reason many in the media, in academia and in politics have not accepted the gospel is we as Christians have not explained the gospel to them in a manner that makes sense. If people understood the gospel they would receive it. You are in for a treat and instant growth just by reading this 103 page book. The contents are concise but derived from a first year seminary level course in Christian Apologetics formatted for a busy person to read in short bites. You wont be the same. God Bless You.
Dr. Lemuel Baker is the President and CEO of Lemuel Baker Ministries. He is an evangelical Christian and currently holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Jewish Studies 2007, an MBA in Business Management 2004 and a Bachelors of Art in Public Policy and American Government 1983 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He has a special calling to the Nation of Israel and to the Jewish people group. LEMUEL desires to see peace between the descendants of Ishmael and Isaac. He feels if Abraham were alive today Abraham the Patriarch would desire peace among his grandchildren. Lemuel Baker was born in the British colony of Jamaica West Indies at Nuthall Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica. His parents emigrated back to the United States leaving much of his aunts, uncles, cousins who still run the thriving leather business in that region even until today. In 1969 American missionaries visited the Island to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and after listening to the gospel message made a decision to walk down the isle of a church and give his heart to Jesus Christ. God had been speaking with Lemuel quietly for many years and months prior to the arrival of the missionaries and thus when the missionaries arrived Lemuel´s heart was ready and fertile. Lemuel reports that for two consecutive weeks after his conversion he experienced his head always lifted toward heaven and a light on his face which caused his classmates to gather around him who asked where the light originated. He would reply " I have become a born again Christian." In 1972 while back in Queens New York Lemuel was baptized in water and had a significant experience which lead to a greater commitment to Jesus Christ. Years later in 1979 Lemuel received hands laid on him by his Pastor and a wonderful experience occurred in the regular Sunday evening Church service whereby much peace and joy flooded his heart and a wonderful prayer language resulted with deep intimacy and fervency for Christ. Lemuel reports that his love for Christ grew by leaps and bounds, he wanted to share Christ with everyone and to pray like never before. Lemuel was called into ministry at this same time and began training as a speaker and preacher and began to see Christ use him in many of the nine Gifts of the Spirit as he developed in the Fruit of the Spirit. Today Lemuel Baker is dedicated, separated unto God as God´s vessel first to be pleasing in God´s sight but to be used to usher back the second coming of Christ by going into all the world, preaching the good news and making disciples of all men. The name "Lemuel" is Hebrew found in Proverbs 31 which literally means the following: Lemu or Lemo means consecrated, separated and dedicated. "Ale" means God. Thus the name Lemuel means one who is dedicated, consecrated and separated unto God which is the desire of Lemuel´s heart.
