I was born David Earl Friedman in Philadelphia in1956. I was raised in Chester County and went to public schools, except for third, fourth, and fifth grades where I went to Friends Community School in West Chester Pennsylvania. I then returned to public school. Before my accident, my passion was motorcycles, 100%. My older brother and I started with a mini-bike and then progressed through dirt bikes where I would race motocross all through my teens. Due to the mechanical maintenance needed to maintain a race bike, I became knowledgeable in motor-cycle mechanics. That turned out to be my first job, motor-cycle repair. I loved the test rides. Although my interest in motorcycles has not waned, I have had to find other outlets to give me purpose in life. One of those has been to write my story. This book is the result of that endeavor.
